Yorgos Lanthimos’ film is set in a world where people must find someone to form a couple with, or elect to be turned into an animal of their choice.

The Lobster plays in the main competition in Cannes and is expected to nab a few prizes. One of Donald Clarke’s highlights according to his Irish Times review was  “Colman and Garry Mountaine delivering a showband version of Something’s Gotten Hold of My Heart will send a chill down many domestic viewers’ spines”.
