VANESSA KEOGH

Dublin-born Vanessa is a graduate of the Gaiety School’s Full-Time Actor Training Programme. More recently, she received a First Class Honours in Communications from Dublin City University.

Alongside numerous theatrical roles, her acting credits for film and television include Veronica Guerin (Touchstone Pictures), The Tudors (Showtime), The Clinic (RTE) and Showbands (RTE), as well as RTE’s Fair City where she was a series regular.

As a screenwriter, Vanessa co-wrote the short film, A Clown’s Requiem, which received full funding from The Irish Film Board under their Short Shorts Scheme. It premiered in the Galway Film Fleadh. She has also worked as a freelance writer with various production companies such as Blinder, The Comedy Unit, Screentime Shinawil and Tyrone.

For the stage, Vanessa wrote the play Animal for Tallaght Youth Theatre, which was performed at the Civic Theatre and went on to be selected for New Stage 2014, a major writing initiative for Irish youth theatre.

Additionally, she has written and co-directed the sell-out pantomimes for the Monaghan-based performing arts school, Born to Perform, including Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella, all of which was staged at the Iontas Theatre, Castleblayney.

Vanessa is currently working on a collection of comedy sketches for children ages 4-12.
